Dr. Raed A. Al-Shaikh, Acting Manager at The Computer Operations Department in Saudi Aramco spoke about current Saudi HPC clusters, and the Saudi Aramco donation program to promote the use of high performance computing in KSA, and contribute to awareness and research advancement.
Dr. Raed mentioned that of the objectives of the Saudi National Grid is resource sharing and enabling HPC in real environment.
Dr. Raed pointed to Maeen Network efforts to provide tools like the HPC portal that can be used by researchers to manage jobs, run them, and get outcomes using a web interface.
